Welcome to the Waterston Lab Image Collection!

In the Waterston Laboratory, we wish to understand the regulatory networks controlling animal development.  To facilitate this, we have developed tools for the automation of cell lineage analysis and gene expression during the development of Caenorhabditis elegans.  Use the links to your left to navigate this website.

The Introduction outlines our research program and has a brief introduction to C. elegans.

The Lineaging page shows some images from StarryNite and its utility.

The Gene Expression Analysis page demonstrates the system's ability to record and interpret gene expression patterns at the single cell level.

Please see Publications for full details and Tools for our software distributions.
